Volkenroda, Germany 27-30 October 2013
The 2013 gathering was beautifully hosted by the Jesus Bruderschaft community in Volkenroda. Sr. Joela, a German Lutheran Sister of Mary from Darmstadt, had chosen the German state of Thuringia as an appropriate place for German Luther repentance. The topics of repentance were twofold:
+ Anti-semitism, exemplified by the De-Judification Institute announced at the Wartburg and founded in Eisenach + Atheism and agnosticism, reported to be more prevalent in Thuringia than any other region of Europe The group of about 40 included most of those who were in Ottmaring in 2012. The were drawn from the following Christian traditions:
+ Roman Catholic + Lutheran (both German and from the United States) + Anglican + Presbyterian + Pentecostal + Non-denominational Christian + Messianic Jews Their presence of the Jews was very important, as they graciously received the repentance of the Christians for specific acts of anti-Semitism, and for the general Christian tendency to de-emphasize the fact that Jesus was a Jew.
